There is a human behind the shop, promise!

I wanted to show that there is a human behind the shop, and also sometimes you want to say things that don’t fit into a tweet or Instagram post, so... hello and here is our blog! I’ve not written one before so bear with me!

I guess the first blog post should be about us, so, my name is Debbie and I’m a craftaholic... I like to try my hand at pretty much anything – although my biggest issue is space to put all my new gadgets and gizmos! I’d love to have a whole workshop full of everything I could imagine, if my bank balance (and space) would allow it. Maybe one day I’ll get there... if you buy something then you can help with my goal! ;)

I do have a few partners who provide items for the shop, but most of products in Tinkaby Crafts are designed and made by me. I started off with sewing and made bags out of netball bibs, but they took a long time to make so I’ve moved on to other items now. I love coming up with new ideas and have so many things in my head and written on notes, that if they were all real then I’d have thousands of products! That would of course be if I had all the time in the world to design and make them. I’ll think of something and then go off on a tangent thinking of six other similar items that I could make too! I much prefer making something and taking pictures of that actual item for you to see, all in real life, rather than making a mock up on the computer - but to be honest sometimes the mock up looks better than my badly taken photos!

I’ll use this blog to let you know about things we do, plus if I have new ideas for something that I’d like your feedback on. Please do help me and my small business by following my social media pages so you can see when I have a new post, and comment to help me grow my business with new ideas!
