Here if you need...

You may have noticed by the amount of netball themed items in my shop that I play netball – as otherwise it’s quite a random topic to make things on! Actually, the first items I sold were lined bags I made out of netball bibs. I don’t make them any more as they take so bloomin’ long to do, but they still hold a place in my heart as they are so useful, unique and cool! I may at some point try to refine the design so I can make them quicker, but I can’t think how to at the moment without lowering the quality of them, which I certainly wouldn't be happy doing. My current alternative is a tote bag with the position printed on (available in my shop right now 😉).

I’m looking out the window on this lovely rainy day in October, thinking that if it wasn’t for Covid, I’d be playing in this. Yep, my games are played outside in (almost) any weather! Some leagues and training sessions have started up again, but it’s still a little too soon for me, although I could really do with the exercise! I’ll have to settle for half-hearted “workouts” at home and the occasional walk or bike ride.

I do love the netball community though, and I’ve made some great friends in mine. A common yell on the court is “Here if you need!” to show that you’re ready and available to receive the ball if your team mate needs you. I feel that it can also be used off court with these people, we really are a family and here for anyone who needs us. I’ve actually got some designs in mind to put those words onto some items, so make sure you follow us on social to be kept up to date with when they are available!
